Rebreather Divers

Rebreather Divers

New Horizons Instructor Greg Snowden (left) and buddy Jim Woodall (center) recently completed Rebreather Training with world-famous explorer Richie Kohler (standing in back) in Key Largo, Florida. They spent several days diving reef and shipwrecks while learning the skills and techniques to be safe rebreather pilots. You will see Greg and Jim in the local waters a lot as they increase their rebreather experience; they intend to pursue even more advanced training with Richie in 2009. Congratulations guys!

Cayman Islands: October 4-11

This will be a super trip to Grand Cayman, one of the Caribbean’s top diving destinations! Our hosts will be Ocean Frontiers, an award-winning GUE and PADI facility, offering everything from beginner to advanced and technical diving. We will have six days of two tank (two dive) boat trips to beautiful reefs and walls, and you can add afternoon and night diving if you wish. Nitrox and trimix are also available.

Seven nights of lodging will be at Compass Point, which is part of Ocean Frontiers. All double occupancy condos offer ocean views, are non-smoking, and have full kitchens as well. They have a private white sand beach, swimming pool, kayaks, bicycles, and free wireless internet access. A rental car is included with each condo so you can visit various sites all over the island. You can also book fishing trips and snorkeling trips that depart from the resort!

Pricing: $1895 per person includes round-trip airfare from Lexington, double-occupancy lodging, and six days of two-tank boat dives. Meals are not included, but condos have kitchens, and groceries and restaurants are easily accessible.

Instructor Ed Gabe might offer some classes for those going on the trip depending on interests.

Come to New Horizons soon to sign up for what promises to be a super dive week!
