Welcome to New Horizons.

New Owners of New Horizons!

New Horizons Diving Center is excited to announce the sale of the business by Neil McEachin to Lavon & Travis Land as of March 3, 2010.

New owners Lavon & Travis have been members of the New Horizons family for almost a decade; they did their beginner training at New Horizons and have been active divers ever since. Travis became a PADI Instructor last year, and Lavon is an Advanced Open Water Diver with aspirations toward Divemaster in the near future.

Neil will remain active as a PADI Course Director, offering Instructor level training and other PADI leadership level classes. New Horizons will also continue to teach the scuba diving program for the University of Kentucky.

Lavon & Travis’ vision for New Horizons is to make it a premier home for the Kentucky scuba diving community. They intend to continue offering an outstanding diversity of equipment lines, such as ScubaPro, Aqualung, Oceanic, Mares, Apeks, DUI, Halcyon, Ikelite, and more. They will increase the number and diversity of the courses offered, including PADI, GUE, and Diver’s Alert Network (DAN) programs. And of course, dive trips to fun and exciting places will be regularly available.

Lavon & Travis hope to provide more support and resources to central Kentucky organizations such as the Bluegrass Dive Club and many of the public safety scuba teams in the area.

Please stop by New Horizons in the near future to say hello to Lavon & Travis; they look forward to meeting more divers and doing their best to help you have the most fun possible in the underwater world.
