GUE Fundamentals: August 20 - 23
The Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) Fundamentals Course teaches the essential techniques of precision diving in any aquatic environment. It is beneficial to all divers, from beginner to advanced. An intensive course, it takes place over four full days and involves classroom sessions, land drills, and multiple diving sessions. The class is limited to four students to insure the highest quality experience built upon a great deal of teamwork and instructor input. All dives are filmed so students can review their performance and maximize their learning.

In the Fundamentals course, students learn the D.I.R. “Doing It Right” equipment configuration, which is a highly refined system that works for all types of diving, from recreational to technical. Academic sessions teach diving skills, teamwork, dive planning, decompression theory, breathing gas choices, and more. In-water sessions teach propulsion techniques, buoyancy and trim, streamlining and efficiency, emergency procedures, team communication, and proper ascents and descents.
