At New Horizons, we focus on quality diving equipment. We choose to offer products that meet or exceed our own expectations as divers. Consequently, you will find that everything in the store is well made by companies with top reputations in the scuba industry. Don’t be persuaded to buy what simply “looks cool” and has a nice price when you are shopping for diving equipment. Remember, it is your life support under water. Our staff will help you select the products that make sense for the type of diving that you do; all you need to do is ask. We don’t work on commission. We truly want you to be happy with your gear, which will mean that you get the most out of your scuba experiences. And if you are shopping the internet, please talk with us before you make a purchase. In many cases, we can match or get close to what online retailers are offering. Better yet, we are authorized dealers for what we sell, meaning you get a full warranty from the manufacturer. Many online retailers are not authorized resellers, and the “warranties” that they offer are not complete. Bottom line: we know the equipment, we take time to find the best fit for you, and we service what we sell, all with competitive prices. Please come in and give us a try.
When it comes to servicing your equipment, we are also experts. Our staff carries service and repair certifications from all of our product lines. When you bring your regulator in for its annual rebuild, it gets the most comprehensive care possible. It is completely disassembled, scrubbed in an ultrasonic cleaner, rebuilt with the proper manufacturer parts kits, and tuned for optimal breathing. Also focusing on quality, we always use oxygen-compatible lubricants, so your regulator always leaves our shop ready for enriched air/nitrox use. Even if you don’t use nitrox, the compatible lubricants are superior, so your regulator is better cared-for.
As of September 1st, 2008, we will no longer be able to fill any aluminum cylinders made before January of 1990. We apologize for any inconvenience, but safety is our prime concern!
