Learning how to scuba dive is simple and fun! Earning your Open Water Certification will open the door to a multitude of new underwater adventures. You'll start with our PADI e-learning (online) training program on your computer, where you will learn about the underwater world and the skills associated with diving. Next,  you'll spend two days in a swimming pool with your instructor developing your new skills and making new friends. Finally, you'll go to an exciting local dive site, or even go on an out-of-state, or out-of-country, dive trip to complete your Open Water Certification checkout dives.


Open Water Certification is a two part process as shown at the bottom of the page. But both parts can be taken together in a package, which is shown below.

**Students must have own mask, fins, and snorkel. We have packages starting at $125 and include scuba approved mask, snorkel, boots, fins, neoprene mask strap, and defog. Click here for details!!

To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. You must complete the RSTC Medical Questionnaire; you can click here to review it. If you answer "yes" to a question, you must have your physician review the questionnaire and give their written approval for you to scuba dive.
